Basalt[edit]
Niemeyer was initially a Colonel in the Basalt Capital District Public Safety Department, a force which answered to Count Hector Germayne, with whom Niemeyer was a favorite.[1] His this role Niemeyer was known to use Power Armor.[3]
He was active in his duties dealing with potential criminal elements, paying a visit to Ghost Knight Mason Dunne as soon as he had arrived on Basalt on 29 January 3133 in an attempt to warn him off the planet, due to the unsavory record of his cover identity Sam Donelly.[2]
As Dunne's mission on Basalt developed, Niemeyer was increasing drawn into events, with the two men assisting each other during various misadventures. By 2 March 3133 in reward for his services, he had been appointed a Knight-Errant by Janella Lakewood, with Alba Dolehide as his aide. As part of dealing with the aftermath of the unrest on Basalt, he led the arrest of local military commander and instigator Ichabod Reis, as well as ensuring the assistance of former Stone's Lament MechWarrior Andy Harness was repaid by the Republic.[4]
Knight of the Republic of the Sphere[edit]
Following his appointment as a Knight, Niemeyer was sent to Prefecture VIII to fight against Clan Jade Falcon, and thus was far from his home when the Fortress Republic plan was enacted by Exarch Jonah Levin. Gathering soldiers from the Principes Guards unit he was assigned to, he resolved to return to Basalt with them, regardless of who stood in their way.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Niemeyer was known to have piloted a MAR-2C3-A Marauder IIC BattleMech, nicknamed "Swan".[1]
