History

Dark Age

With the disbanding of the Highlanders regiments after the Jihad, a number of memorial groups sprang up, organizations that allowed the descendants of the regiments to gather and honor the traditions of their forebears. Lacking in any formal military training, these "weekend warriors" nevertheless answered Tara Campbell's call to arms and, with the help of officers from the First Kearny Highlanders, have since shaped themselves into a surprisingly capable unit.

In fact, they have so impressed Prefect Campbell that rather than leave them as a home guard for Northwind as originally intended, she soon began sending them out to garrison surrounding systems.[1]
