Description
After the Fourth Succession War, the Regulator was the result of the Capellan Confederation refining its surviving industries to produce better combat vehicles.[1]
The Regulator been given 6 tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor, which concentrate heavily front and turret. However, other areas of the tank thinner, leaving it vulnerable to heavy damage in the side and rear. The General Motor's 170 Rated Fusion engine gives its considerable speed and agile making up of lack of armor in its sides.
The Tank first saw action in 3057, during Operation Guerrero. Where it actions on Tsingtao brough light to the tank's ablities, with lance worth of the tanks destroying three AFFC 'Mechs.
Armament
The vehicle's only weapon, Inokuma Gauss Rifle is mounted in the turret. The gun has been given 2 tons of ammunition.
Variants
- Regulator Hover Tank (Arrow IV Variant) - Created in the 3060s, Liao engineers removed the Regular's Guass Rifle for Di Yu Huo (Hellfire) Arrow IV System. The engineers reduced the tank's armor protection to allow fit the new Artillry weapon with its 15 rounds of missile. Note: This variant uses Advanced Rules and is not Tournment Legal. BV (2.0) = ????
- Regulator Hover Tank (RAC/5 Variant) - The variant is a field refit that first appeared during George Hasek's War in 3068. The variant takes Gauss Rifle & its ammunition ane replaces with Davion savaged RAC/5 and Targeting Computer. Among CCAF's forces, this variant's deadly accruacy has become legend. Due in part of rarity of salvage to put such a refit together. The vehicle's 4 tons of ammunition is protected by CASE. BV (2.0) = ????
MechWarrior: Dark Age Dossier Variant
- Regulator II Hovertank - Built in 3083, as a heavier but more resilient version Regulator. Aldis Industries remodeled the now 50 ton tank to use an Imperator Light Gauss Rifle. Its hull was given Hellespont Lite V Ferro-Fibrous Armor. The vehicle was given a LT 165 Rated Fusion Engine allowing it go to speeds up to 130 K/ph.[2]

The Regulator off-shot 'Regulator II, has only stats coming from the dossier of Carmen Hern. As of this writing there is no printed information or record sheets on this vehicle.
