System History
At some time in the past, someone built a mining facility on the system's fifth planet, but it was later abandoned. Otherwise, the system was unpopulated.
Ripple V
Information on Ripple V is scarce. However, it is known that the planet has no animal life and minimal vegetation. The world's atmosphere requires a filter mask for safety. But, even with masks visitors state that the air smelled rank and sour.[1]
Also, the planet has no moon and the temperatures at night drop to below freezing quickly.[1]
At some time in the past, a mining facility was built on Ripple V, but the facility was later abandoned. During the Jihad, Word of Blake fugitives converted the mining facility into a base of operations. They were rooted out, with many of them captured, by the Lyran military in Operation BLUE TIGER in 3084.[1]
