Skandia II
Template:InfoBoxPlanetStandard Skandia has four continents, Kythira, Pliny, Cimbri and Britannia.[1] The Ghost Bear Dominion also set up a regional headquarters and administrative center on this world in the late 3070s.[47] The Dominion made the decision to move the command and administrative center to Skandia as it was more centrally located than Orestes.[1]
Planetary History
First Succession War
Skandia was one of a number of strategically important systems in the Lyran Commonwealth to be subjected to bombardment by the Draconis Combine between 2786 and 2790, as the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces began to crack under the pressure of continuing efforts to annex the Bolan Thumb while also attempting to maintain a defensive posture against both the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery and the Free Worlds League Military.[48]
Clan Invasion
Skandia was invaded by the Bronze Keshik, Seventh Battle and Sixteenth Battle Clusters of Clan Wolf in February 3052 during the Fifth Wave of Operation Revival. Opposing them were the Third Drakøns, a KungsArmé regiment that had long harried Clan Wolf and whose destruction had been given top priority, supported by the First, Second and Third Skandia Royal Militia Brigades. Bidding for the right to destroy the Drakøns, which would hopefully break the back of resistance in the Free Rasalhague Republic, was one of restrained fierceness which Galaxy Commander Mikel Furey had finally won. From the moment the Galaxy Commander and his forces made their landing they engaged in what was essentially one long running battle with the Drakøns, fighting them at such places as Biberist, Sumiswalk, Spiez and Moudon. This lasted for two entire weeks until the last Drakøn 'Mech was finally destroyed and the planet conquered.[49]

Notes
- The MechWarrior: The BattleTech Role Playing Game lists Skandia still under Lyran Commonwealth control as of 3025, garrisoned by Barrett's Fusiliers. This implies the Draconis Combine conquered the world only in that year.[55]
