Stephen Lucius was a mercenary MechWarrior.[2]
History[edit]
Receiving his MechWarrior training in Taurian Defense Force, by his late twenties Stephen Lucius had grown tired of the Taurian Concordat's military and chose to instead quit and travelled to Galatea with hopes of founding his own mercenary command. Recruiting mostly light pilots, including Leonidas Simonides. Lucius took the unusual approach of organising the command using a cooperative-style rather than conventional military structure. In 3025 they departed to a easy mission, a pirate hunting one.[3]
Unfortunately on one of his new unit's early missions a combat drop went bad, his command couch ripped loose when his 'Mech got damaged. While fighting on and winning the battle, Lucius suffered extensive physical injury in the process, the damage to his nervous system and limbs leaving him unable to pilot a 'Mech without considerable discomfort. Refusing to retire despite this, Stephen Lucius would only climb into the cockpit if absolutely necessary.[2].
