I just reread Embers of War, and Eberhardt was promoted to Major and given command of "Panther" Battalion after the death of Col. Rauschenbusch. I just reread Embers of War, and Eberhardt was promoted to Major and given command of "Panther" Battalion after the death of Col. Rauschenbusch.
