The Brotherhood was one of the sub-units of Katana Tormark's Dragon's Fury.

History[edit]

The Brotherhood was effectively a volunteer militia. In the wake of the 3132 Blackout, Katana Tormark recruited Draconis Combine descendants within the Republic of the Sphere. To break through any Republic identity and to appeal to suppressed Kuritan heritage, she crafted fabricated unit histories linking the Brotherhood to major events all across Kuritan space and history.[1][2] The Brotherhood constantly fluctuated in size, gathering local Combine supporters whenever it could on each assignment.[3]

Elements of The Brotherhood participated in the of Ronel in 3133[4], where Dragon's Fury forces led by Tai-i Abeda Measho were repulsed by Captain Santiago Padilla and his Swordsworn forces. The Dragon's Fury arrived with a JumpShip and several DropShips, one of them the Tako.[5]

The unit participated in the complex 3133 clash over Irian. Its ability to gather supporters wherever it went paid off: with deep knowledge of the terrain and defenders, the Brotherhood seized the Irian Technologies Marauder II plant, holding it through mid-3135. Rusch pulled almost all forces back at that point, leaving only a battalion behind; the remnant on planet soon merged into the Irian militia.[6]

On 29 July 3134, a lance of the Brotherhood with two BattleMechs and two MODs launched a raid against Sadachbia. The force was annihilated by a lone Highlander IIC, piloted by a woman calling herself the Banshee. The only survivor, Yuri Agamato, was blamed for it and left dispossessed.[7]
