An Unknown Planet is simply what it sounds like: A planet that wasn't known. These records are typically found with systems that are more than 250 light years from Terra in the Age of War or early Star League eras. However, there are cases where a world that was known at one point has since been removed from star charts due to depopulation. New Dallas is one example of such a world.
No record is synonymous with unknown planet. The world has either disappeared or was simply not known.
