Description
The Wulfen is a Clan Wolf light OmniMech which was first introduced shortly before the Clan's departure from its original Occupation Zone. The 'Mech utilizes its high speed and stealth technology to engage opponents in long-range combat.
The 'Mech was first designed on Tamar at the Clan's W-7 Facilities in 3137. However, the Clan's exodus to the Lyran Commonwealth's border would delay the design's production until five years later. The Wulfen prototypes' performance would help convince the Clan to put the 'Mech into full production, first with limited production on Weingarten, and then later expanded to full production on Thermopolis in 3142.[5]
Weapons and Equipment
The Wulfen uses mix of advanced Clan and Inner Sphere technologies in its construction. The 'Mech is fitted with 300-rated Model 39b extra-extralight engine, Inner Sphere XL gyro, and Process 12 endo steel which gives the 'Mech enough room for 10 tons of pod space. Among the 'Mech's other features is an ECM suite, Full-Head Ejection System, and six and a half tons of Imstar V-Stealth stealth armor.
The Prime Configuration of the Wulfen features a UAC/2 mounted in left arm, and an ATM-3 system in the 'Mech's right arm, which aids the MechWarrior in both long and short-range combat. Both weapons are allotted a ton of ammunition protected by CASE II in each of the 'Mech's arms alongside the parent weapon it feeds. The Prime is uniquely fitted with a half-ton cargo pod in its left torso.[6]

- The A is fitted with a single ER PPC, with four additional double heat sinks to help keep the configuration cool in. BV(2.0)= 1,615[7][8][9]

- A flexible and fast sniper, the B configuration armed with a single ER large laser in its left arm which is aided by a targeting computer. A supercharger, additional double heat sink, and six jump jets rounds out the configuration's enhanced movement abilities. BV(2.0)=1,806[10][11][12]
- Alternate Configuration C
- A light brawler, the 'Mech's C configuration sports three ER medium lasers tied into a targeting computer. The configuration also comes with 10 jump jets giving an additional advantage in close quarters combat. BV(2.0)= 1,334[13][14][15]

- The E configuration is a fast generalist, and uses a blend of flexible missiles and laser weaponry in its weapons configuration. It is armed with two ATM-3 launchers with CASE II protected ammo in the right torso, and the left arm has pair of ER medium lasers and single micro pulse laser tied into a targeting computer. The 'Mech can achieve brief burst speeds due to the presence of a supercharger. BV(2.0)=1,839[19][20][21]

- A powerful close-in fighter, this configuration is fitted out with an all-heavy laser loadout, giving it good endurance during long missions. The H contains a single improved heavy large laser and a pair of smaller improved heavy medium lasers in the right arm.
