Description
The Xanthos was by young engineer named Dr. David Harrison. Working for Hollis Inc., the young engineer pioneering technology to create four-leg battletechs. Prior to the creations of Scorpion & Goliath battlemechs. The Xanthos was presented to Terran Hegemony for review after the cancellation of Catapult. Hollis pushed to have this mech presented against Harrison's wishes. Clumsy and stiff, the mech failed win contract from the Star League purchasing committee.
Later, after Scorpion & Goliath were introduced, their technology advancements help make Xanthos into serviceable design. However, its original bad publicity and broken promises resulted in poor sales and the design was scrapped.
Armament
Armed with a Class 20 Autocannon with 3 tons of ammunition, provider sustantial close hitting power. Backed up with three Martell Medium Lasers, six-tube Holly Short Range Missile Pack, and rear-firing small laser. A PPC rounds out this mechs weaponary for ranged combat.
Deployment
When original sold, most of XNT-30s were purchased by House Liao. However, performing fairing well on the field shipment delays cancelled its initial procurement. Design had become extincted by the time of the 2nd Succession War.
3070s, the design re-merge after the discovery Hegemony Memory Core. Elite Capellan, Lyran, and mercenary units have aquired modern variants of this mech.

- XNT-04 - Equipted with compact engine, heavy-duty gyro, the mech has Heavy Particle Beam Cannon & two Light PPC, all mediums lasers are now Extended models. Chassis is covered with 20.5 tons of stealth armor.
- XNT-05 - Equipted with Endo Steel frame, light ferro-
fibrous armor, compact gyro & jump jets, Armed with ER PPC, a quintuplet of medium pulse lasers, and a rear-mounted ER small laser.
