Prelude[edit]
Both enraged at the recent harassment of Magistracy military and traders by Andurien forces, and wanting to stay even in an ancient rivalry with the Ambermarle's Highlanders, when the Highlanders struck out against "terrorists" in the Duchy of Andurien, Sang-shao Adrienne Marshigama did as well. Commandeering the Dragonslayers, she made her way to Conquista.[1]
Overview[edit]
Conquista was defended only by elements of the First Free Worlds Legionnaires who immediately saw they were at a 10:1 disadvantage. Rather than die in place, they chose to go to ground, allowing the Capellan and Canopian forces to secure a large amount of salvage.[1]
Aftermath[edit]
Flush with victory, the two moved on to attack Andurien next. Unknown to them, so did the First Free Worlds Legionnaires.[1]
Notes[edit]
- No dates are given for the Conquista attack, but the attack on Andurien was repulsed 11 April.[2] Being two jumps away from each other, the Conquista attack should have occurred in March. This increased specificity supersedes a later claim in that source that it occurred in "late 3062."[1]
- Some sources don't distinguish between the two attacks on Conquista and Andurien, instead referring to a single attack on Conquista.[3][4]
