The WarShips, transports, and AeroSpace assets of Clan Blood Spirit were designated as one unit, the Blood Galaxy.[2] Agreements with Clan Snow Raven around 2980 saw WarShips that were unneeded to protect the limited holdings of the Blood Spirits traded for large numbers of surplus second-line ‘Mechs. This arrangement continued until 3010 to the benefit of both Clans.[3]

The WarShips were generally assigned as single escorts to ground Galaxies when needed. This meant the vessels were often forced into hide-and-seek tactics rather than stand-up fights.[2] The small number of vessels was sufficient for the Khans as the Clan remained insular, but losses while avenging the dishonor of being denied the Absorption of Clan Burrock further forced the Blood Spirits into a defensive posture. When used offensively, the Blood Spirits often lost vessels, culminating in only three surviving to the 3084 “Absorption” of the Blood Spirits - their Annihilation in all but name.[4][1]
