Ernesto Ravenwater was a Clan Hell's Horses officer who fought in the Word of Blake Jihad.[1]

Jihad Era[edit]
Ernesto was a Trueborn MechWarrior of the Horses, which sometime had won a Ravenwater Bloodname. At 3078, he was a Nova Captain in the Eleventh Mechanized Cavalry, leading Trinary Beta under the orders of Star Colonel John Lassenerra, as part of Stone's Coalition, sent to free from the Word of Blake the world of Hsien. On 22 January, the Cluster was activated by the Task Force leader, duchess Alys Rousset-Marik, which reinforced it with the 3rd Cole Harbour Support Battalion, led by Lieutenant Junior Kendra Slavoski. When she arrived to the Horses Mobile HQ, Ernesto welcomed her and presented her Point Commander Amanda, the Cluster's logistic officer, while subtly testing the Lieutenant's knowledge.[2]
Amanda and Kendra didn't get along well, so the Lieutenant had to declare a Circle of Equals to solve the dispute. Ernesto directed the fight, ordering both to not harm the other too much. Kendra win quick and easily, impressing Ernesto. Later, the Horses' were contacted by the enemy's 4th Tau Ceti Rangers leader, Daniel Jax. Ernesto was surprised for the Colonel's offering of a batchall, and after the calling, he asked if the Capellan's have broken the rules.
While preparing for the battle, Ravenwater informed Kendra about their disposition. After the battle, Ernesto approached to talk with Kendra, who was putting on a new Cooling Suit. He made a joke, and attempted to couple with her, but she refused politely, saying he had too much plumbing for her tastes. He offered Kendra to present her another Horses female officer with similar tastes, when she pushed him to the ground. He didn't know why, but found it when a Vibrosword wounded him. The vibrosword was from a Battlefield Infiltration Units, but Kendra dispatched both Capellan before they can kill any of both.
Right after, Ravenwater called her weakly, and the Lieutenant quickly bandaged his wounds. A medic later said than Kendra had most likely saved Ernesto, before taking him to a hospital. Ernesto's wounds prevented him to participate in the last battle against the Rangers.[3]

Ernesto was described as a handsome, olive-complexioned man.[1]
