History
Arriving on Luthien in May of 3071, the largely veteran 42nd originally served as support and security forces for the 9th Division, until the arrival of Nova Cat's Xi Galaxy in July 3072.[1] On the 19th of the previous month, elements of the 42nd had utilized tactical nuclear weapons on the clan's Irece capital, though the Word's assault was ultimately repulsed.
Heavily damaged by the point of the clan's arrival, the 42nd managed to devastate the Nova Cats through both orbital and ground attacks supported by tactical nuclear strikes.[1]
In December of 3074, Ghost Bears's Alpha, Omega, and Rho Galaxies struck Luthien. The 42nd manage inflict heavy damage on both Alpha and Rho when they struck 42nd. The unit it reportedly destroyed between three to five clusters of Ghost Bear troops before being listed a destroyed.[2] No evidence surfaced to suggest Precentor Belial or his command Level II were among the dead.[1]
