Hugo Schmatz was the owner and CEO of Highpoint Traders, a small but economically unhealthy trading company dating back to the Star League era but verging on bankruptcy during the final decade of the Third Succession War. Legend has it that Schmatz bet and lost ownership of the company during a high-stakes game of Four-Card Drax against Corey Chang at the infamous Cave on Kyeinnisan in 3020. While his ultimate fate following his loss to Chang is unknown, popular myth is that Schmatz remains at the Cave trying to improve his game to attempt to win the company back.[1] [2]
