History[edit]

Founded during the early to mid-3080s, the Third Marik Protectors garrisoned the Trinity world of Sierra in 3085, where it swiftly adopted the native's rough and tumble style.[1] [3] The insignia of the third is crossed Imperator SMGs.[1] While originally painting its equipment brown with green and red highlights[1], the unit reverted to the older Marik Militia paint scheme and brigade insignia.[2]

By 3145 the Third was considered to be the most skilled of the Marik Protectors regiments, having proved itself against pirates and nearly every neighboring state while protecting independent worlds situated between Andurien and the later-resurrected League.[2]

An assault upon Eleusis in 3148 by the Fourth and Fifth Andurien Cavalry saw the Third Marik Protectors driven from the planet.[4]
