Owner History

Planetary Info

Alcor is a rare type of world that has both an atmosphere and orbits a variable star. As a result the world is very mountainous and geologically active. Many mining companies landed on the world to exploit the easily-accessible mineral resources stored in the planet's crust. Though these are productive enterprises, the little arable land on the world lacks specific trace elements that are required for human health. As a result, the Alcorans have become reliant on trading ships that bring the produce from other worlds. This constant need for trade has made Alcor something of a trading hub despite its out-of-the-way location.[1]

Following the invasion of the Free Worlds League by the Skye and Bolan Provinces of the Lyran Alliance in what was termed Operation ÜBERSCHATTEN, Marshall Jeremy Brett took command of the local FWLM and launched a counteroffensive, under the name Operation BROKEN FIST. BROKEN FIST went beyond simply attempting to recapture worlds that the Lyrans had seized, striking into Lyran space at numerous worlds. Alcor was one of the worlds hit and was attacked by the League forces on the 20th of September 3068. The League would keep control of Alcor until the 7th of January 3069, when Lyran Alliance forces recaptured the planet.[27]
