In the Jihad era, on Axton housed a NAIS College of Military Sciences Training Facility at Fort Vanders on the continent of Navidad. This facility trained Infantry, Battle Armor, BattleMech and Conventional Vehicle senior classmen who couldn't finish their studies at the NAIS while it was rebuilding.[1]
