Force Commander Christian Hampton was an officer of the Free Worlds League.

History

From at least 3059 to 3071 Hampton serving with the 12th Atrean Dragoons, as commander of the 3rd Battalion, and later regimental executive officer.[1][2][3][4]

When first promoted to Force Commander, he was considered the best tactician and strategist in his regiment, but a tendency to second guess himself was causing concern for his commander Colonel Kelian Brackey.[3]

Hampton had a long rumored romance with Duchess Alys Rousset-Marik[2], which caused the 12th Atrean to be linked with Rousset-Marik politically, and resulted in questions about its loyalty to the then Captain-General the false Thomas Marik. Their relationship also produced Rousset-Marik's second child Agatha Hampton-Marik. Hampton was however killed in a Word of Blake suicide bombing in 3075.[5]

Notes

Hampton's first name is stated to be Christopher in Masters and Minions: The StarCorps Dossiers. The Battletech Line Developer Ray Arrastia has however indicated this was in error.[6]
