Dick Benson was a Solaris VII Stablemaster and MechWarrior for Vampires Stables and known for his shady way to work, and most probably the cause for the Stables reputation[citation needed]
By using one of the Stables Ghosts, Robby France, he had him steal one of VEST's Sasquatch prototypes, even goading over it.
He was approached by VEST representatives he accepted a fight for the prototype's possession in the King of the Mountain.
He faced there MechWarrior Lorri Bent that was bringing the second Sasquatch prototype recently brought to fully operational status and with a few extra weapons and a kill-switch for the first prototype installed in hers.
Dick Benson was handily defeated by Lorry Bent, with his 'Mech becoming nothing worth salvaging. His injuries were grave, nearly loosing both legs and nearly ensuring he would never be able to pilot a 'Mech again.[1]
