Fire at Will, by Blaine Lee Pardoe, is the twenty-eighth novel in the MechWarrior: Dark Age series. It was first published in October 2007 by Roc Books and was later republished in July 2022 by Catalyst Game Labs as a BattleTech Legends title.

The novel covers Operation HAMMERFALL, the Lyran Commonwealth's invasion of the former Free Worlds League states of Tamarind-Abbey and the Marik-Stewart Commonwealth.

From the back cover[edit]

For too long, the people of the Lyran Commonwealth have only reacted to attacks by their enemies. Now, Archon Melissa Steiner launches an intricate gambit that will secure the safety of her subjects—and secure her own power against those who wish to take it...
