Description

Initially designed as a MiningMech, the Gulon is a SecurityMech common throughout Outworlds Alliance/Raven Alliance territory. The original MiningMech was one of Alliance Motors Limited's first products, an unusually unique MiningMech design. Easily adapted to combat, it found a niche as a garrison for many communities and backwater planets, even into the Raven Alliance era.[2]

Weapons and Equipment

The Gulon stands out for its fission engine, built in cooperation with a Sevon-based nuclear power plant. The engine, difficult to maintain and dangerous, powers an array of energy weapons. In addition to a MiningMech-standard three small lasers, originally meant to cut stone, the SecurityMech carries a medium laser, all aided by advanced fire control. The SecurityMech keeps the original mining drill, and uses the original heavy industrial armor.[2]

Variants

  • GLN-1A MiningMech
The original Gulon carries a sprayer rather than a medium laser, and lacks the advanced targeting system. BV (2.0) = 352.[2][3]
