Description

Mountain troops are infantry specially trained and equipped to fight at in the thin atmosphere and dangerous terrain of mountain warfare.[1] Of these, Heavy Mountain Troops like the Cavalier Infantry Guard of the Magistracy Cavaliers use their heavy weaponry to deadly effect against an unsuspecting enemy. Trained to fight on the high, snowy peaks of their native Thraxa, these "Mountain Men" fight at altitudes where conventional forces fear to tread. [2]

Armament

Each "Mountain Man" is equipped with an Imperator AX-22 Assault Rifle, along with their normal mountain climbing equipment. Two Heavy Mortars provide for doubly-dangerous artillery fire, as these soldiers are well-trained in using them to start avalanches and rock slides.
