Captain James MacGregor was an officer in Wolf's Dragoons, who served as the commander of MacGregor's Company (MacGregor's Grenadiers) of Charlie Battalion in Delta Regiment as of 3028.[1]

History[edit]

MacGregor claimed to be a descendant of an officer from the ancient Royal Grenadier Guards of old Terra, and named his company after this supposed heritage. While MacGregor was a brawler who shared his commander Major Neil Parella's love of alcohol, he limited himself to periodic binges, and never drank while on duty.

An eight-hour arm-wrestling match between MacGregor and his fellow Delta Regiment company commander Captain Justin Holbrook was famous in the regiment, treated by the troops as a part of their history almost on par with the battles for Halloran V and Quentin.

MacGregor's company was held in reserve during the Battle of Misery in 3028, which incensed him, as did what he perceived as the mistreatment of Major Parella for his suspected alcoholism. He therefore retired from the Dragoons after Misery, as did other a number of other Charlie Battalion officers, arising from the morale issues arising from the controversies around Major Parella.[1]

BattleMech[edit]

MacGregor was known to pilot an Archer BattleMech.[1]
