Larry Allen Barttelbort was a Solaris VII fighter. While fighting a team match in The Jungle on 3065 in his own AXM-1N Axman his right leg was blown off and used as a club to kill Barttelbort’s partner in a string of physical attacks while Barttelbort watched in horror. Barttelbort was unable to obtain repair parts due to the FedCom Civil War, but eventually scavenged the right leg from a TMP-3M Tempest. This started his loving of tinkering on his own mech, now referred to as "Temax".
During a grudge match in 3066, the Axman’s entire right arm was destroyed. This forced another improvised repair, this time he attached an HCT-3F Hatchetman’s right arm instead. The arm’s first swing in combat buried the blade deep into the right shoulder of his opponent’s Quickdraw. When the Quickdraw’s answering kick knocked the Axman down, Barttelbort’s makeshift repair failed and the arm ripped free from the shoulder. He lost that fight. After the FedCom Civil Barttelbort returned home to the Federated Suns' "Outback" and hired on as a pirate hunter.
