History[edit]

Lee Lumley was a fighter in Solaris VII's BBL fighting for the Kroner Kings Stables during the Dark Age. He was the stable's captain.[1]

He participated in the 3086 Championship.[2]

He had a miserable season start in Class Four losing his first two matches.[2]

He tried to get back on track against Rick Dekker from Regulus Wrath Stables, but the match was a no-hitter. Lumley had a hard time hitting Dekker's Rifleman, while Dekker was more concerned about keeping himself out of the Crusader's missile swarm than damaging Lumley. When time expired, Lumley gained his first point of the season.[2]

After this fight, Lee Lumbley was able to recover his nerve and show why he is a veteran of the arena, winning six matches and losing only one, so prior to the start of week eleventh, the Class Four Division was tight, with new leaders almost weekly. David Santos was currently in first, but Lee Lumley behind only by a point, and Tracy Vanberchum a point behind Lee.[3]

For the eleventh week match, he was paired against Peter King. With both warriors using LRM-heavy 'Mechs, a long-range duel was expected. After the first three missile volleys exchanged, Lumley's Crusader clearly looked worse off. Lumley moved to cover, but King was patient, using his Archer's heavier missile launchers to pound Lumley whenever he showed himself. After twenty minutes, the Crusader was little more than a blackened shell, forcing Lumley to admit defeat.[3]

The combination of him and David Santos losing with Tracy Vanberchum's victory set her as Class Four Division Leader.[3]

At the end of week twelve, in midseason, Tracy Vanberchum was leading the Class Four Division with David Santos two points behind, and with Natalia Burns and Lee Lumley three points behind Tracy.[4]

Prior to the matches on week seventeen Lee was outside the top four in the Class Four Division.[1]

His fight for week seventeen was against Tracy Vanberchum. The two veterans showed why they are among the most respected fighters in the league. Both wove through the Deep and traded shots that kept the audience on their feet. While both gladiators lost armor, neither could find that winning shot and the match ended up in a tie.[1]
