The Monument to Man is a manmade structure, with a height of about 20 meters, containing a time capsule of human cultural objects, located in the Dark Expanse. It was placed in orbit of the planetless and unclaimed white main sequence star SLSC A0V.4900 on 30 October 3077.[1]

SLSC A0V.4900 is located in the Gum Nebula, in the Spinward Sector of the Deep Periphery, and is approximately 1,009 light-years from Terra.[2][3]
