The LAS Robert Marsden Fox-class WarShip entered service with the Lyran Commonwealth in March of 3061.[1] The ship was one of eight vessels surviving the FedCom Civil War and in service by the LAAF in 3067.[2]

History[edit]

During the FedCom Civil War, the Robert Marsden fought as a part of the Loyalist forces, operating alongside her sister ship the LAS Robert Kelswa in March 3064 in the York system in a cunning ambush staged by Leutnant-General Maria Esteban that saw Victor Steiner-Davion defeated and nearly killed or captured. Facing off against the Avalon-class cruiser FCS Melissa Davion, the Robert Marsden and Robert Kelswa were able to force Victor's outnumbered forces to retreat under fire or face the very real threat of orbital bombardment, although the two Foxes were unable to interdict the Fifth Crucis Lancers RCT DropShips as they evacuated the planet.[3] In November 3064, the Robert Marsden was still under the command of Maria Esteban and responsible for transporting the General as she gathered additional forces with which to attack the Allied forces on the planet.[4]

The Robert Marsden served as a part of Task Force CRONUS, the predominantly-Clan naval force responsible for capturing the Titan Yards in 3078 as a part of the allied coalition efforts to liberate Terra from the Word of Blake.[5] The Robert Marsden was one of just two Lyran Foxes to survive the Jihad, the other being the LAS Katherine Steiner, and - given the poor state of repair the venerable Tharkad-class battlecruiser LAS Invincible was in at the time - one of only three combat-effective WarShips left to the Alliance.[6]

The Katherine Steiner and the Robert Marsden were no longer in service by 3145.[7]
