Temperance McCaulay was a mercenary MechWarrior who operated in the Anti-Spinward and Rimward Periphery who became an almost legendary figure in the region.

History

Early life

Temperance grew up on a newly founded independant mining colony named Tumbleweed by the residents. As soon as she was old enough she started helping out with repairs to the IndustrialMechs, later progressing to piloting them.

In 2960 a band of pirates from the Tortuga Dominions stumbled across the colony and conducted a raid.

Grey Lady

Once McCaulay was old enough she would leave Tumbleweed and travel to Illyria the capital world of the Illyrian Palatinate where she became the tech for local arena fighter Ty Falco. In 2970 Ty lost his nerve and backed out of a deathmatch, offering McCaulay ownership of his 'Mech "Grey Lady" if she would take his place in the match. she accepted and managed to knock her opponents engine out more through blind luck than skill.

Militia and Mercenary Service

First joining the illyran Militia for a few years until she became bored, Temper would become a Mercenary and see service with Interstellar Expeditions, the Far-Lookers and the Lothian League, even joining Arms of Thor.

Eventually in 3026 she ended up working with Lostech prospector Lyle Steadman searching for Star League facilities.

Retirement

She eventually retired to Luxen where she would live to become the oldest "Errant" in the Periphery at over one hundred and twenty.
