Description
The Tenshi is a Assault Class OmniMech, which was manufactured during the early 32nd Century for Draconis Combine's armed forces. Product of the House Kurita's hidden efforts to rebuild is decimated 'Mech Regiments, the Tenshi was also designed to use resources found within Combine.
The Tenshi was first deployed among ranks of the Ghost Regiments in early 3100s, its deployment with less-renowned brigade was part of DCMS's two-fold effort of testing the 'Mech while providing fire-wall to save face should design prove to be a failure in combat. Among its one its first deployments was in 3103, when 1st Ghost conducted a raid on Ghost Bear Dominion world of Grumium. The eight Tenshis among Ghosts ranks performed well, with most of their numbers returning to Combine with their stolen Clan technology.[1]
Armament and Capacities
Among the Tenshi's design features is its durability and having a heavy equipment payload. Engineers saw fit to equip the 'Mech with a Compact Gyro and 18.5 tons of Standard Armor. The Tenshi uses number new technologies that had finally enter production in decades preceding the Jihad. The use of Endo-Composite Structure and a Light Fusion Engine granted the design the Pod Capacity of 48 ton. However, this large pod capacity had come at a price, which was giving the Tenshi a slightly slower maximum speed than other comparable designs of its era.
Tenshi's Primary Configuration is designed principally with standard technologies and to allow the 'Mech to engage an enemy unit at long-range. It main weapon is an arm mounted Gauss Rifle which has 3 tons of ammunition. Its other set of long range weaponry are five Light Particle Projection Cannons which are fitted into the 'Mech's right arm. As a weapon of last resort, the 'Mech sports a pair of 10-tubed Rocket Launchers, with one place in each of its legs. All of its energy weapons are tied to by a Targeting Computer. Among other equipment found in this configuration is a Guardian ECM provide electronic screen against enemy attacks. While a Supercharger is fitted in center torso to help bolster Tenshi's speed.[1]
Alternate Configurations
Tenshi's alternated Configurations uses a range of Advanced and Mixed technologies.
- Alt Config A - The A's principle firepower comes from three Large Variable Speed Pulse Lasers mounted in each of its arms and in the center torso. Backing up lasers, is a single Apollo FCS guided 30-tubed Medium-Range Missile Launcher with two tons of CASE II protected ammunition. Help manage the 'Mech heat, the five Double Heat Sinks are added as well as Coolant Pod. BV (2.0) = 1,830[1]
- Alt Config B - Designed to cripple and destroy an enemy, the B Configuration is equipped with two TSEMP Cannons found in each of its arms. Its other weapons and equipment includes; A single right torso mounted Heavy PPC, pair of arm mounted Streak 6-tubed SRM Launchers, pair of Medium Pulse Lasers, three Jump Jets and five Double Heat Sinks. - Alt Config R - This configuration utilizing a mix of Inner Sphere and Clan Technologies. The R Configuration's long-range firepower comes from a pair of side-torso mounted 20-Tubed Extended Long-Range Missile Launchers with six tons of ammunition. Its remaining weapons include five Clan ER Medium Lasers found in the arms and in center torso. A single Double Heat Sink is added to help manage the heat. BV (2.0) = 2,237[1]
