Alpha, Beta and Epsilon Aimags were all operating from Merchant Carrack-class transports—the Argo, Naglfar, and Matahourua, respectively—while Gamma Aimag was based around the Lola III-class destroyer Caleuche and Delta Aimag was based around the Volga-class transport Liberator.[9]
