History

The Homeworld of the 1st Davion Guards is New Avalon.

Operation Bull Dog

In 3059, as part of Operation Bird Dog, the 1st Davion Guards RCT of the Federated Commonwealth was largely responsible for capturing the Clan Smoke Jaguar planet of Port Arthur.

In 3060, as the defeated Smoke Jaguars fled towards their homeworlds after Operation Bulldog, the 1st Battalion of the 1st Davion Guards was assigned to stop a renegade Smoke Jaguar commander, Star Colonel Marcus Kotare, from obtaining and deploying weapons of mass destruction stored on the desolate Deep Periphery planet of Cermak.

During these campaigns, 1st Battalion was commanded by Colonel Kristen Reese.

One of the 1st Davion Guard MechCommanders was an AFFC officer named Harrison.

FedCom Civil War

The First Davion Guards RCT was assigned to New Avalon during the early part of the FedCom Civil War.

In late April of 3063, Marshal Bishop Sortek, commander of the Davion Brigade of Guards and titular commander of the First Davion Guards, ordered the First to engage the Loyalist forces threatening them, as the First refused to swear absolute loyalty to Archon Katherine Steiner-Davion. Field Marshal and Prince's Champion Simon Gallagher ordered the Loyalist forces - the Third Robinson Rangers, the Tenth Deneb Light Cavalry, the New Avalon CMM and several secondary units stationed on New Avalon - to forcibly disarm and disband the First, resulting in the First Battle of New Avalon.

The First Davion Guards were destroyed almost to the last man on December 20, 3063 by the Tenth DLC and Third Robinson Rangers.

Officers

As of 3063 the Commanding Officer was Marshal Bishop Sortek, cousin of Field Marshal Ardan Sortek. Bishop Sortek was killed on New Avalon in October 3063 while buying time for his unit to escape their pursuers.
