Owner History

Planetary Info

Avon has three continents, Albion where the capital city Stratford is located, Britannia and Norman. The planet is a world covered in plains that are often subject to high winds.[1][2]

Planetary History

The Jihad

On the 24th of July 3072 the renegade DCA Kirishima-class Warship the Urizen II was destroyed in the Avon system by the Clan Nova Cat WarShip Severen Leroux.[9][10]

Post-Jihad Era

The Matabushi Incorporated plant located near the city of Fresno on the Albion continent continued to produce both Union and Overlord-class DropShips for the Combine and for Clan Nova Cat throughout the Jihad,[11] despite having lost more than a third of its capacity during the conflict.[12] The Matabushi plant had been restored to full operating capability well before 3081.[13]

The Matabushi plant wasn't the only plant on Avon to manufacture items to Clan specifications in support of the Nova Cats; Luthien Armor Works also maintained a small LAW-Barcella facility on the planet to manufacture OmniMech components and second-line BattleMechs solely for the Nova Cats.[1]
