The defeated Strikers and remnants of the Romulus Militia have taken refuge in abandoned mine tunnels. They raid an ammunition depot for replenishments. This creates a diversion that allows them to recapture the Kwaidan and rescue the Strikers from pursuing Clan 'Mechs as they return from the raid on the ammunition dump. With the planetary militia re-stocked and the Clan occupation forces in disarray they make back to their JumpShip. Hours later, however, they receive a transmission from Nicolai Malthus' WarShip, which has ended the insurrection on Romulus by means of an orbital bombardment of Remus City. While the Katana is recharging its jump drive in the Butler system they receive a message from the FedCom JumpShip Strongbow who report one of their DropShips, the Hejira, heading the Strikers' way. It turns out to be carrying none other than Victor Steiner-Davion who was evacuated from Trell I against his will. He wants to commandeer the Kwaidan to return him to his unit so that he can rejoin the fight on Trellwan, because the Strongbow suffered an engine failure and will need several weeks to fix their Kearny-Fuchida Drive. However, the Katana receives orders to deliver the Prince to the secure world of Sudeten instead.

While they continue to charge their jump drive, an assassin attempts to kill Prince Victor and Franklin Sakamoto is the prime suspect. The real assassin later acquires one of the Clan Battlesuits, but can be stopped by Franklin. The Hejiras pilot, Captain Gray Stevens, is revealed as the would-be assassin, working for some unnamed faction that would "prefer a more worthy successor to the throne". In the ensuing fight he is sucked into space in his suit from explosive decompression.

Episode 7 - In the belly of the beast
The Strikers call in at a FedCom depot on Waldorff V to resupply. A message from the Archon reaches Adam Steiner informing him that his intelligence gathering mission is suspended, and that he is to field-test the Clan equipment appropriated at Twycross - a veiled permission to liberate Somerset. They are also equipped with one model each of the new Infiltrator and Sloth suits.

 +
However, the Jade Falcons have intercepted the message and look forward to a chance to vanquish the Strikers. They immediately prepare for an attack on Waldorf V.

The 1st Somerset Strikers still do not get along very well with each other, and Fanklin Sakamoto piloting the Sloth falls victim to pranks from his teammates and equipment malfunctions. When he accidentially comes under live missile fire from Val, he disappears into the nearby jungle with his Battlesuit without answering radio calls.

 +
Only a few hours later, Kristen Redmond (piloting a Vulture) along with a mere two Elementals descend on the Strikers' position. She disables the Strikers' BattleMechs, but is defeated when Franklin breaks the swamp surface in his Battlesuit and attaches a mine to her 'Mech. Subsequently, Kristen is captured by the Strikers.

While Ciro is gradually being turned to the Clan ways of thinking, Nicolai Malthus launches a second attack on Waldorff, dropping a star of OmniMechs directly on top of the Quartermaster Corps and destroying the DropShip full of supplies and crew. Using the Kwaidan for a suborbital hop, the Strikers deploy behind the Clans and fight a delaying action to allow the crew of the downed DropShip to escape, then withdraw.

The series took place in 3050 in the Inner Sphere during the Clan Invasion. It commences on the planet Somerset, the home planet of Major Adam Steiner. Away at the Nagelring on Tharkad, he received word of its fall to Clan Jade Falcon, and of his brother, Andrew Steiner's capture by the invaders. Due to his familial relationship with the then-Archon Melissa Steiner, he gained permission to assemble a force for reconaissance of the Clan Invasion Zone, with the implied possibility of retaking Somerset.

The Strikers learn from Kristen, their captive, that Ciro is still alive and propose a prisoner exchange. At virtually the same time, however, Ciro choses to embrace the Clan ways and willingly has synthetic neurocircuitry implanted. Yet Nicolai Malthus agrees to a Trial of Possession, setting Ciro against Kristen. The fight is to be single combat carried out in BattleMechs at an abandoned refinery site on a small moon orbiting Waldorff VII. Kristen demands to be allowed to contribute to fight, this time by upgrading Adam's 'Mech, but is turned down again. Subsequently, she makes an upgrade without permission then flees in an escape pod. Adam deduces the trial is a sham to kill him. Nicolai in turn is deeply insulted by this accusation and vengefully sends Ciro to do the fighting. Ciro unsuccessfully tries to convince Adam of the superiority of Clan culture, then their duel is cut short by violent explosions of the volatile material that the factory had been mining. While the moon is literally blowing apart, both parties board their DropShips and escape.

The plotline thickens when it is revealed when the only available JumpShip around Tharkad is the Draconis Combine JumpShip Katana, which was recently seized for smuggling. Steiner and his men are forced to try and get along with the Combine crew of the JumpShip.
+
Adam found during the battle that Kristen had upgraded his neurohelmet with enhanced imaging, while Ciro in turn is now finally prepared to reveal the ultimate destination of the Strikers to his new superiors: Somerset.

Episode 9 - Road to Camelot
 +
While scouting for Clan ships in the Dark Nebula, Franklin and Kylie encounter Mark 39 Attack Drones when they investigate a mysterious transmission. Against Adam's explicit orders, they take Val and "Patch" the Tech with them in the two Banshee fighters and return to the Nebula. Patch transmits an old code from the Succession Wars that identifies the Banshees as friendlies, and beyond the drone screen they find a man-made planetoid: Camelot Command, an abandoned Star League facility. They dock and make their way to the command center. While the astounded Franklin reads through the logbooks, DropShips from Clan Wolf and Clan Jade Falcon land at the base as well, both intending to secure it for their respective Clan. Before long, a three-sided fight for control of Camelot Comand rages and the Strikers fake the self-destruction of the base.

The Kwaidan, meanwhile, tracks their rogue crewmembers and arrives in time to drive off the Clans. While dozends of the tiny Mark 39 drones are already strafing the Clan ships, Adam threatens to throw hundreds more of the tiny drones at them and the Clans withdraw.

Adam Steiner – An instructor at the Federated Commonwealth's prestigious Nagelring Military Academy and a native of the planet Somerset, Adam is a proponent of combined-arms tactics, unconventional warfare and cross-training in multiple fields of combat. In addition to being a skilled tactician and BattleMech pilot, he also flies aerospace fighters. After the Strikers' mission to Somerset, Adam plays an influential role in the Lyran Alliance and is eventually promoted to General of the Armies. When Tharkad is besieged during the Word of Blake Jihad, Adam is temporarily crowned Archon of the Lyran Alliance in order to keep the position out of enemy hands. Adam pilots AXM-2N Axman and AWS-9M Awesome 'Mechs.

Nicolai Malthus is so keen on capturing the Strikers that he turns renegade on Galaxy Commander Vandervahn Chistu and captures a FedCom JumpShip, the Excelsior, which jumps away mere seconds before being hit by fire from the Galaxy Commander's WarShip. Vandervahn Chistu then orders two former subordinates of Nicolai Malthus, Kristen Redmond and Pythor, to pursue and apprehend him.

Rachel Specter – Adam's executive officer and close friend. Rachel is an expert in electronics and communication and coordinates the Striker's actions in battle.

Katiara Kylie Also a native of Somerset, Katiara originally washed out of Adam's training program, but managed to make her way into the team, much to Ciro's displeasure. Though not skilled with BattleMechs, she's a skilled aerospace fighter pilot. Katiara pilots a Banshee aerospace fighter and Infiltrator BattleArmor.

Canonical Errors
Throughout the series, a number of canonical errors can be seen regarding the 'Mech designs and the basic plotline of the story; for example the wrong uniforms for the Strikers and Falcons and the inclusion of the Mauler as a Federated Commonwealth 'Mech when in fact it was a Draconis Combine 'Mech. To try and explain these issues, FASA published a sourcebook for the Strikers that gave some extra background information and summarized the whole series.

The Series

Battletech: The Animated Series was a Saturday morning cartoon created for syndication by Saban Entertainment, and broadcast in 1994 from September 10th to December 10th on Fox. The series ran for one season (13 episodes), and focused on the early career of then-Major Adam Steiner. The series was noteworthy for its blending of computer-generated imaging and traditional cel-animation to create a smooth transition between sections.

Basic Plotline

The series depicts events that alledgedly took place in the Inner Sphere during the Clan Invasion in 3050. It commences on the planet Somerset, the home planet of Major Adam Steiner. Away at the Nagelring Academy on Tharkad, he receives word of Somerset's fall to Clan Jade Falcon, and that his brother Andrew Steiner has been captured by the invaders. Due to his family relationship with Archon Melissa Steiner he obtains permission to assemble a force for reconaissance of the Clan Invasion Zone, with the implied possibility of retaking Somerset. This force is to be the 1st Somerset Strikers.

The plotline thickens when the only available JumpShip around Tharkad is the Draconis Combine JumpShip Katana, which was recently seized for smuggling. Major Steiner and his men are forced to try and get along with the Combine crew of the JumpShip.

Over the course of their mission, the 1st Somerset Strikers move through the Dark Nebula where they chance across Camelot Command, a lost Star League facility which they fight for (and win) against forces of Clans Jade Falcon and Wolf.

Eventually, Commander Andrew Steiner is rescued from captivity at the Somerset Military Academy and Somerset is won back through a Trial of Possession fought between Adam Steiner and Jade Falcon commander Nicolai Malthus. However, the Strikers find that although they have won the planet, it is a hollow victory: Somerset has been completely depopulated by the Clans, its population of roughly one million people deported by the invaders as bondsmen to serve them elsewhere.

Plot synopsis

Episode 1 - The gathering storm

Clan Jade Falcon forces have invaded and taken the planet Somerset. Commander Andrew Steiner, a respected instructor at the Somerset Military Academy, is taken captive as the defenders are overrun. News of the attack reach his brother Adam on Tharkad, who petitions directly to Archon Melissa Steiner for permission to stage a recapture operation. This is denied, and an "intelligence gathering" mission is considered but also initially denied because of a lack of available JumpShips. However, an unforeseen opportunity arises when the Katana, an Invader-class JumpShip from the Draconis Combine, is impounded for smuggling at Tharkad's nadir Jump Point. Adam Steiner commandeers the JumpShip and its Union-class DropShip, the Kwaidan, for his reconnaissance mission with fellow teammates Rachel Specter and Ciro Ramirez, against resistance from the Kurita crew which is led by Franklin Sakamoto. He also drafts Captain "Hawk" Hawkins from the nadir recharge station's staff. Washout Cadet Katiara Kylie secretly sneaks aboard the ship as well and reveals a knack for aerospace combat at a critical moment. Together, the impromptu team form the 1st Somerset Strikers.

Episode 2 - Well bargained and done

Episode 3 - Warriors of light and steel

Composed of very individualistic pilots, the Strikers try to form a cohesive unit in simulated battles on Romulus with mixed results. In the middle of the training exercise the world comes under Jade Falcon attack and the Strikers are routed; the Kwaidan is captured by Clan troops. Pursuing Clan forces later attack the Strikers at the farm to which they had retreated and Ciro is taken captive by the Jade Falcons.

Episode 4 - Retribution

The defeated Strikers and remnants of the Romulus Militia have taken refuge in abandoned mine tunnels. They raid an ammunition depot for replenishments. Episode 5 - Trade secrets

The Strikers' next move is an objective raid against the Clans on Twycross. On foot, Adam, Rachel and Val manage to penetrate an underground Clan base and escape wearing Elemental (battle armor) suits. Nicolai Malthus continues his attempts to turn the captive Ciro Ramirez, pointing out that the Strikers did not even attempt to rescue him during the raid.

Epidsode 8 - Bound by honor

Adam found during the battle that Kristen had upgraded his neurohelmet with enhanced imaging, while Ciro in turn is now finally prepared to reveal the ultimate destination of the Strikers to his new superiors: Somerset.

Episode 9 - Road to Camelot

Episode 10 - The enemy of my enemy

Nicolai Malthus is so keen on capturing the Strikers that he turns renegade on Galaxy Commander Vandervahn Chistu and captures a FedCom JumpShip, the Excelsior, which jumps away mere seconds before being hit by fire from the Galaxy Commander's WarShip. Vandervahn Chistu then orders two former subordinates of Nicolai Malthus, Kristen Redmond and Pythor, to pursue and apprehend him.

Major Characters

Adam Steiner – An instructor at the Federated Commonwealth's prestigious Nagelring Military Academy and a native of the planet Somerset, Adam is a proponent of combined-arms tactics, unconventional warfare and cross-training in multiple fields of combat. In addition to being a skilled tactician and BattleMech pilot, he also flies aerospace fighters. Adam pilots AXM-2N Axman and AWS-9M Awesome 'Mechs.

Rachel Specter – Adam's executive officer and close friend. Rachel is an expert in electronics and communication and coordinates the Striker's actions in battle.

Katiara Kylie – Also a native of Somerset, Katiara originally washed out of Adam's training program on Tharkad, but manages to make her way into the team, much to Ciro's displeasure. She is a skilled Aerospace Fighter pilot. Katiara pilots a Banshee aerospace fighter and gets to use an Infiltrator BattleArmor.

Ciro Ramirez – Born to a minor but prestigious family of MechWarriors, Ciro is a skilled pilot who's very set in his ways. Ciro is captured by Clan forces early in the series, and eventually comes to accept their way of life, joining Clan Jade Falcon and fighting against his former teammates. Ciro pilots a WLF-2 Wolfhound and later a Mad Cat.

Zachary Miles Hawkins – "Hawk" is a veteran MechWarrior who works with Federated Commonwealth intelligence. After capturing a Draconis Combine JumpShip for smuggling, he finds himself reassigned to it under Adam's command. Initially distrustful not only of the Combine crewmen but also of his new commanding officer, he eventually comes to respect Adam's piloting and leadership abilities. Hawk pilots a MAL-1R Mauler 'Mech.

Valten Ryder – A scoundrel of a MechWarrior, Val is hired by the Strikers on the planet of Dustball, where he worked for a local crime boss to retrieve his father's Centurion BattleMech. Val is very much out for himself, but is surprisingly loyal to his friends. Val pilots CN9-D Centurion and BSW-X1 Bushwacker 'Mechs.

Franklin Sakamoto – Originally a smuggler for a Draconis Combine crime syndicate, Franklin overcomes his distrust of Adam to become one of the most valuable members of the Strikers, saving Prince Victor Steiner-Davion from an assassination attempt and becoming the first Inner Sphere BattleArmor trooper to destroy a Clan BattleMech. During his time with the Strikers it turns out that Franklin is the illegitimate son of Theodore Kurita, the ruler of the Combine. Because of this he gets caught up in an attempted coup against Kurita by the Black Dragon syndicate against his will. The plot fails, and Franklin renounces his claim to the Draconis throne to rejoin the Strikers. Franklin pilots Sloth BattleArmor, as well as AWS-9M Awesome and HTM-27T Hatamoto-Chi 'Mechs.

Nicolai Malthus - A Star Colonel in the Jade Falcon touman, he was assigned originally to assist in the capture of the Inner Sphere, but quickly grew a deep loathing of Adam Steiner and his Strikers for what he percieves as barbaric ways and dishonor, owing to the Major's unconventional tactics (at least to Clan minds) of hit-and-run. He also becomes the bondholder of Ciro, after Ciro's capture by the Jade Falcons. He is portrayed as the stereotypical Clansman, placing great emphasis on honor and what he believes to be "correct" warfare, and does not place nearly as much on loyalty.

Kristen Redmond - A Star Captain in the Jade Falcon touman, she is a bitter rival of Star Colonel Malthus', partially owing to her age (far into Solahma years), and partially due to his dereliction of duty to Galaxy Commander Chistu in order to pursue the Strikers. For a short period of time she is a bondswoman of Adam Steiner, but escapes from his DropShip due to his repeated unwillingness to give her duties in the way that she believes he should as her bondholder.

Vandervahn Chistu - The Galaxy Commander in charge of the unit of Nicolai Malthus and Kristen Redmond, he is committed to the invasion doctrine and frequently chastised Malthus over it, at one point instructing the newly-returned Kristen to hunt him down and kill him. He is not regularly seen throughout the series.

Natalya - The Star Commander of the Star of Elementals attached to Kristen Redmond's unit, she is frequently seen in combat against the Strikers.

Version 1.0 2002-07-07 Started by: Rocqueforte "Rocky" O'Leary (email: rocky@diggity.schwag.org)

Introduction Having finally acquired all 13 episodes of the Battletech Animated Series, I thought it might be amusing to attempt to catalog all the errors that were in the series. The rules for deciding if something was an error were:

 * The element under inspection contradicts previously published BattleTech source material
 * The element under inspection is JustPlainWrong [tm] (a good example of something that is JustPlainWrong is the incredible 'MechButt escalator used by Star Colonel Kristen Redmond in episode 4)

Note that this means "It sucked" is not an error (merely a valid critism), and "the plot had logic holes you could drive a Fortress class DropShip through" likewise doesn't count. After each error the episode the error occured in is listed in brackets (for cases where the same error occured in multiple episodes, the keyword "Multi" is used). For those errors that the 1st Somerset Strikers sourcebook attempted to rationalise or explain, an asterix has been placed after the episode number.

The Errors

 1. Apparent age of Star Colonel Kristen Redmond is incorrect. The Jade Falcon sourcebook puts her age at just past 60 in 3053, but in the cartoon she looks no older that her mid-thirties (Multi).
 2. The timing of the invasion of Somerset, Dustball, Apollo, Romulus and Trellwan does not match dates given in Jade Falcon sourcebook. (Multi)
 3. Uniforms worn by Clan warriors do not match those given in Jade Falcon sourcebook (Multi).
 4. Use of Maulers by AFFC contradicts Technical Readout 3050 (it's a Draconis Combine only 'Mech) (Multi *).
 5. Shape of the Thor OmniMech doesn't match illustration in Technical Readout 3050 (amongst many others) (Multi).
 6. Elemental battlesuits are not controlled by voice commands and take considerable time and modification to be used by non-elementals (see Kai Allard-Liao's training in "Lost Destiny") (Ep.6 & 7).
 7. 'Mechs don't use escape pods - in most 'mechs, the command couch forms the ejection seat (the Wolfhound is a notable exception) (Multi).
 8. Wolfhound ejection system comprises of the entire head, not just an escape pod (see TR: 3050 and "Lethal Heritage") (Multi).
 9. Diversity of 'Mechs illustrated (or rather, not illustrated!) does not match published source material (Multi *).
10. Space inside 'Mech cockpit far more generious than described in other source materials.
11. AFFC officers use incorrect titles for their ranks - the AFFC uses German rather than English rank titles. All "Captains" (Miles Hawkins, Galen Cox) should be "Hauptmanns", all "Majors" (Adam Steiner, Victor Steiner-Davion) should be "Kommandants", all "Colonels" (Colonel Hartman) should be "Hauptmann Generals" etc. (Multi)
12. All planets in the series seem unable to detect incoming Jumpships - I lost count of the number of times the first thing planetary defenders knew about an approaching enemy was the combat drop over the defender's space port (Multi).
13. All combat seems to be a variant of 18th century "stand and shoot/stand and be shot at" warfare, which contradicts all other BattleTech fiction (Multi).
14. LRMs tend to be depicted as firing a single missile per launch, rather than multiple missiles per launch (for example, a Vulture's LRM rack should launch 20 missiles per firing) (Multi).
15. The series repeatedly over-emphasises the effects of heat on 'Mechs (Multi).
16. Exterior shot of Kwaidan as Major Adam Steiner addresses it's crew for the first time is of a Warship, not an Invader class Jumpship (Ep.1).
17. Valten Ryder appears in brawl on Kwaidan, well before Somerset Strikers recruit him on Dustball (Ep.1) [This is hard to see - in my AVI copy of the episode, he appears behind the table in the center of the screen 12 minutes 13 seconds into the episode and more clearly to the left of Franklin Sakamoto 12 minutes 16 seconds into the episode].
18. Uniforms of Somerset Strikers don't match published FedCom uniforms (Multi).
19. Uniforms of Prince Victor Steiner-Davion and sub-ordinates don't match published FedCom uniforms (Multi).
20. Franklin Sakamoto's communication that resulted in the mercenary ambush in the Hamilton system could not have reached the Hamilton system in time frame indictated (a message from the jump point would have taken a few hours to reach Tharkad, and then it would have had to wait until ComStar sent the next batch of messages to Hamilton) (Ep.1).
21. Mercenary fighters that attack the Jumpship Katana in Hamilton system have Draconis Combine markings (Ep.1).
22. Victor Steiner-Davion didn't join the 10th Lyran Guard until after Trellwan i.e. after Ep 6. Note that Ep 6 correctly lists his unit as the 12th Donegal Guard (Ep.1 & 6).
23. The autocannon in the right arm of Valten Ryder's Centurion appears to also be a pulse laser of some description! (Ep.2).
24. Range of Clan LRMs incorrectly stated as "2.3 kilometres" (Ep.2).
25. Mechs can rotate more than 120 degrees - in fact, Star Colonel Kristen Redmond's Vulture can do 360 degree torso twists! (Ep.2).
26. Valten Ryder's Centurion changes colour (Ep.2).
27. Juan Martinez's battalion is a lot bigger than a battalion (I counted ~20 Union class dropships in ther fly by sequence!) (Ep.2).
28. Speaking of the Dustball rescue battalion, how did they manage to arrive on the scene so fast ? Only a few minutes passed between the jail break and their arrival! This is a particularlly glaring error when one considers that Juan had to go to ComStar to communicate with his battalion, suggesting that the battalion was in another system (Ep.2)
29. I never knew one got into the cockpit of a Thor via it's crotch (Ep.4). [1 minute 14 seconds into the episode in my AVI copy].
30. In a similar vein, I never knew that Vultures had escalators in their butts (Ep.4).
31. Just how did Rachel, Adam & Valten get into the roof to evade the Clanners during their jail break on Twycross ? The distance between the floor in the corridor and it's ceiling is at least 2 1/2 times the height of Adam or Valten (Ep.5).
32. I would have thought that activating Elemental jump jets inside a elevator would be a BadIdea(tm) - especially since the roof (and presumably all the elevator motor equipment at the top of the lift) was still intact (Ep.5).
33. Victor Steiner-Davion's first encounter with the Clans on Trellwan doesn't match description of battle in "Lethal Heritage" (Ep.6).
34. Victor Steiner-Davion's conversation with General Hawksworth doesn't match conversation in "Lethal Heritage" (Ep.6).
35. Victor Steiner-Davion appears taller than 1.6 metres (height given in "Lethal Heritage") (Ep.6).
36. Galen Cox's hair colour is wrong ("Lethal Heritage" describes it as "sandy"), as are his eyes ("Lethal Heritage" describes them as "blue") (Ep.6).
37. Fire extingishers in space would not use water (think about how bad using water in a zero or neglible gravity environment would be) - they would most likely use halon (Ep.6).
38. The quartermaster NCO's refusal to hand over supplies should have resulted in the military police being called in (it's called "Refusing the Orders of a Superior Officer") (Ep.7).
39. Is the same quartermaster NCO illiterate ? How come he didn't recognise Adam Steiner's name on the equipment requisition forms (since he falls all over the Striker's once they receive the message from the Archon)? (Ep.7)
40. This quartermaster is just asking to get shot! Whilst introducting the Strikers to their new equipment, he *twice* announces his intentions to abandon his post (Ep.7).
41. Hawk dismounts from his 'Mech to attempt to commincate with Franklin and Kylie - hasn't he heard of radio ? (Ep.7)
42. Star Captain Kristen Redmond wins the bid to defeat the 1st Somerset Strikers by bidding "...[attacking] with my Vulture's lasers deactivated...", however she uses her lasers as soon as the battle with the Strikers starts (Ep.7).
43. Star Captain Kristen Redmond refers to her 'Mech as a "Vulture". The correct Clan name for her 'Mech is "Mad Dog" (Ep.7).
44. Star Colonel Nicholai Malthus refers to his 'Mech as "Thor". The correct Clan name for his mech is "Summoner" (Ep.7).
45. Why do LRM equipped 'Mechs have a large "LRM Remote Detonation" in their cockpits ? I would have thought the only way your LRM's remotely detonate is when they hit your intended target (or nearby trees, ground, innocent bystanders etc etc) (Ep.7).
46. Adam Steiner mentions that LRM missiles "target infrared signatures". Oh no they don't - not unless they're iLRMs, introduced by House Marik well after the events in the cartoon (Ep.7).
47. How much time did Malthus and his Star spend waiting for the crashed dropship to respond to Malthus's demand for surrender ? From the countdown, it looks like a very short period of time, but the Somerset Strikers had enough time to conduct a sub-orbital hop and a march to the rear of Malthus's forces (i.e. quite a bit of time). (Ep. 8)
48. In the enhanced imaging battle near the crashed dropship, the dropship doesn't appear! (Ep.8)
49. Since when do Awesomes have 4 PPCs (4 smoking PPC ports visible at approx 7min 6secs) ? (ep.8)
50. According to other Battletech source material, Clan Jade Falcon is one of the most conservative Clans. So why did they adopt Ciro into the clan when his only link to them comes via a medal one of his ancestors was presented by General Kerensky ? (Ep.8).
51. When the Strikers are searching for the escaped Kirsten Redmond, you can see that the fighter bay doors are open, even though the dropship is currently travelling through space (!) (Ep. 8)
52. Once adopted into Clan Jade Falcon, Ciro should be refered to as just "Ciro" (or "MechWarrior Ciro"), yet Nicolai Malthus still refers to him as "Ciro Ramirez" (Ep.8).
53. How did Kristen Redmond get out of her handcuffs whilst in the escape pod ? (Ep. 8)
54. The discovery of Camelot Command by the 1st Somerset Strikers contradicts the information in "Rhonda's Irregulars" (Ep.9).
55. Creation of the Clans as described by the Camelot Command computer contradicts all Clan sourcebooks (Ep.9).
56. The departure point of Kerensky's Exodus as described by the Camelot Command computer contradicts all Clan sourcebooks and Star League sourcebook (Ep.9).
57. A Clan Wolf Elemental refers to another by the rank of "Lieutant". No such rank exists in the Clans. (Ep.9).
58. Val's impersonation of General Kerensky and the Clan troops reaction is just so *wrong*..... (Ep.9).
59. Aerospace fighters defending the FedCom jumpship Excelsior have Draconis Combine markings (Ep.10).
60. No signs of explosive decompression when Elementals cut into (and board) the Excelsior (Ep.10)
61. Galaxy Commander Chitsu's warship is easily within Nicolai Malthus' jumpship's K-F field when Malthus' ship attempts to jump - this should cause BadThings (tm) to happen to both ships (Ep.10).
62. The Excelsior's captain speaks to Adam Steiner in real-time, even tho' it appears that his jumpship is not in the same system as Adam Steiner's (Ep.10).
63. Speaking of this real-time conversation, since when did Inner Sphere jumpships come equipped with hyperpulse generators ? (Ep.10).
64. Two fighters do not make a "squadron" - you'd think Major Adam Steiner would at least know his military terminology! (Ep.10).
65. When piloted by Franklin, the Awesome's PPCs appear to be located in the right torso, right arm and left arm (the left arm PPC should actually be in the left torso) (Ep.10).
66. Hohiro Kurita's first encounter with the Clans on Turtle Bay doesn't match description of battle in "Lethal Heritage" (Ep.11).
67. Shin Yodama piloted a Phoenix Hawk in his first encounter with the Clans, not a Centurion. (Ep.11).
68. Hohiro Kurita piloted a Grand Dragon in his first encounter with the Clans, not a Hatamoto-Chi (Ep.11).
69. Some dodgy symbols on a sword are hardly reason to believe that you are the bastard son of the Heir-Designate to the Draconis Combine (Ep.11).
70. How exactly does Kylie hack into the Somerset military academy with a noteputer that has only numeric keys ? (Ep.12)
71. According to episode 7 (and the Somerset Strikers sourcebook), Infiltrator suits are armed with grenade launchers - so how come the Inflitrator has a pulse laser of some description when piloted by Franklin Sakamoto ? (Ep.12)
72. Did the Clan guards at the Somerset Military Academy learn how to shoot from Star Wars stormtroopers ? The escaping Strikers are running across open ground, yet the guards are unable to even wound one of them. Sheesh! (Ep.12)
73. How did Kristen Redmond and the other prisoners get out of their cells prior to Ciro freeing them ? In episode 11 we see Kristen and co. in the cells, in epsode 12 they're being held out in the open. (Ep.12)
74. Adam Steiner places the charges on the side of the trees facing the clearing, yet when the charges go off, the tress fall into the clearing - surely most of them would fall away from the clearing ? (Ep.13)
75. When Adam Steiner gets out of the river, he is not wet (Ep.13)

Note: Surprisingly, episode 3 seems to be free of any non-"Multi" errors, and episodes 12 and 13 are relatively error free too. I guess 3 out of 13 is still kinda pathetic....
