Chatham is a Combine factory world. Though beautiful from orbit, the centuries of supporting three different manufacturers have taken a dramatic toll on the planet. When newcomers land they are treated to some of the foulest air in the Inner Sphere. This is due to the lack of emissions controls on the factories, which combine with native microorganisms to poison the atmosphere. Despite this taint, the massive amounts of natural resources insure that Chatham's factories will remain productive for many years to come.[1]
