Planetary Info

Corridan IV was a keenly-sought colony world. The ecosystem was perfect for humans and their crops, with one small exception: The water supply was filled with lethal levels of heavy metals and a bacteria that would make every living plant or animal on the world toxic to humans. To prevent the colony from failing, the first colonists relied on imported water delivered by the Ice Ships of the Ryan Cartel.[1]

After studying the problem for years, a part-time chemical engineer named Gabriel Tal developed a unique fusion filtration system that could economically clean Corridan's water. 95% of all the toxins were removed via this process. Tal kept the process a secret and used it to form Water Pure Industries. This company grew to be the largest Lyran producer of water and air filtration systems. Though destroyed and damaged during the Succession Wars, the company has always recovered and even thrived after being attacked.[1]

By the time Corridan was ceded to the Republic of the Sphere, the scars from many raids covered the world. The citizens of Corridan undertook a massive beautification program, and these scars were erased. Combined with the fact that most of the population lives in large cities on Feyrun and Cederban (the southern and one northern continent), today's Corridan is a beautiful world.[1]

The world's major export is, obviously, filtration systems. Following closely are foodstuffs and the meat from the Corridan grazer, a stupid animal resembling the Terran buffalo.[1]
