Hans Brinkmann (born 30?? - died 11 April 3060) was an old mercenary MechWarrior.
Personal History
Hans Brinkmann was the oldest of all the Mercenary Lance of the Storm Riders than was the regular garrison on the planet Kore. His name may suggest than was Lyran, and it was said was send to Kore, probably to finish his career, as a result as some disciplinary action, but he never confirmed it.
Anyway, Hans was, by his lancemate Lon Volker, the unit's drunkard, and one of those who said to have ghost sighting, and seen the Winter Ghost, a presumed BattleMech ghost of the Clan Steel Viper.[1]
Death
The 11 April of 3060, all the lance went to the planet's spaceport to help download the DropShip ''Tammuz''. Unknown by the Riders, the DropShip had been boarded and taken by Susie Morgraine-Ryan's pirate group. They attack the Riders lance by surprise. After the lance of OmniMech pirates disembarked of the DropShip, a Puma choose Brinkmann's 'Mech as a target. His two PPC struck at Hans' cockpit, destroying it and killing Hans instantly.[2]
Legacy
Hans death was followed by his superior, lieutenant Holt. Volker surrendered and alter joined the pirates, and Sturm Kintaro, the youngest of the unit, saw his 'Mech destroyed, but at the end, managed to lead a counterattack, defeat the pirates and liberate Kore, avenging Hans and Holt.[3]

Hans only known BattleMech was a light-class Javelin.[4]
