Kawich's soil is spread across ten large island continents in shallow sea basins. The soil itself isn't good for agriculture, but it is packed with petroleum, minerals, and metal ores that are extremely valuable to manufacturers. After the fall of the Star League the Federated Suns enjoyed the output from the world until the Republic of the Sphere. The only time Kawich wasn't in the Federated Suns was a brief time during the Third Succession War when Capellan Confederation controlled the world.

Planetary History

Fourth Succession War

During the Fourth Succession War, Kawach was one of the sites of Operation AMBUSH, where the AFFS lured several CCAF units to an early grave.[1]

On Kawich, elements of the Eridani Light Horse, First Davion Guards RCT, and Third Crucis Lancers RCT captured or destroyed elements from Warrior House Hiritsu, the Third Confederation Reserve Cavalry, Trimaldi's Secutors, and Laurel's Legion.[50] Fifty years later, people on Kawich refer to the remains of the destroyed 'Mechs and tanks as "Liao's Metal Tombstones".[1]

The Jihad

The Word of Blake launched a wave of attacks during the first two weeks of July 3069 that targeted the worlds of Bharat, Deneb Kaitos, Ingress, Kawich and Ruchbah. Kawich was one of the worlds to fall in the face of a conventional assault, and was incorporated into the Word of Blake Protectorate.[41]

Dark Age

In 3134, Steel Wolves attacked a Jake's Discount Equipment Warehouse building in the city of Moranan, defeating the Bannson's Raiders garrison and stealing two dozen refit kits. Collateral damage was extensive.[51]
