Maria Velasquez was an officer of the Oriente Protectorate[2], from the planet of Maritgues. She was described as diminutive, being only one hundred fifty centimeters tall, and had dense black hair.[1]

Maria attended the Princefield Military Academy, at the same time as Ivan Casson, where the two were friends.[1][2]

Death[edit]

Maria died while serving with the Eagle's Talons, under Ivan Casson, during their raid on the Duchy of Andurien planet of Kwamashu in 3138.[1] She was killed by Sir Hunter Mannheim, a Knight of the Sphere piloting a Shockwave, who with a Republic of the Sphere force was impersonating a Duchy of Andurien unit as part of a scheme to start a war between the two former Free Worlds League states.[3]
