By this time the unit had seen 27 major actions and numerous smaller skirmishes and holding actions, mostly working for House Davion, and had a high opinion of themselves. In October 3027 they took part in an invasion of the Ramsau system as a short-term contract for Steiner. As part of the invasion plan a small detachment of six BattleMechs from the Star Warriors was deployed to Ramsau's large tidally locked moon Ramsau III-A aka Gordo, with orders to destroy Gordo Alpha base, an enemy Command, Control & Communication facility. The attacks—both on Gordo and on Ramsau III proper—ran into stronger-than-expected resistance and the invasion force retreated before committing fully. The Star Warriors lost a Griffin in the fighting on Gordo.[2]
