History
Home to the adherents of the Clan Cloud Cobra's Rossei Cloister in Clan Nova Cat, which has caused problems with other Nova Cat Warriors.
Combine-Ghost Bear War
In December 3062, the remains of Zeta Provisional Galaxy's 1st Dragoncat Cluster was sent to the unit and was absorbed prior to the Combine-Ghost Bear War. Included in this transfer was future Xi commanding officer Jal Steiner.
Xi fought on both Itabaiana and Caripare during the War.
Late 3060s
The Galaxy was promoted to front-line status after Galaxy Commander Deleportas petitioned Khan West.
Jihad
In February 3072, the sub-units of Xi Galaxy stripped their bases on Port Arthur, Tarazed, and Yamarovka of all equipment, supplies, personnel, and other war materials and left without explanation.
On July 14th, 3072, Xi Galaxy arrived over Luthien via a pirate point and declared a Trial of Annihilation against the Forty-second Shadow Division.[1]
Protecting the Galaxy were three Aegis-class WarShips - the Blade, Chronicle, and Vision Quest, supported by a Cluster of aerospace fighters. This aerospace force punched a hole through a heavy Word of Blake aerospace presence which included two Warships and a dozen Battlesats.
The Galaxy's five clusters manage to drop amidst the nasty air battle being fought above the Kado-guchi Valley to land on top of the Forty-second Shadow Division. Here the clusters systematically tore into the Word of Blake unit. The Nova Cat's aerospace fighters joined in the attack on the Blakist ground unit, until arrival of additional Blakist fighters from a secret base. One of the Clusters managed to break enemy's battle lines and enter the Imperial City. There they doubled their efforts to annihilate all enemy units they came across. However, in process Xi units began to take heavy casualities.
In the city, Blakist reinforcements forced Galaxy Commander Jal Steiner, leado his Rossei Keshik and cluster Nova Cat troops out of the city. Steiner rallied his troops on Waseda Hill for a second push into the city, when Blakist caught him and his troops by surprise. Blakist had used six nuclear missiles, which left only a cluster surviving bombardment. These surviving troops withdrew to their dropships and left Luthien. Leaving nearly destroyed 42nd and the 9th Division screening force to defend Imperial City.[2]
