Largely built in secret from salvaged Star League WarShips, the Word of Blake WarShip Fleet would be largely revealed during the conflicts of the Jihad, where most of its ships would be destroyed.

Word of Blake's WarShip Fleet would see its official beginning in 3057, when the Free Worlds League presented the order with two salvaged ships: a Vincent-class corvette and an Essex II-class destroyer. These would be commissioned as the WoBS Blake's Redemption and WoBS Deliverance, respectively. These gifts came about as a result of WoB assisting the Free Worlds League since 3052 with the secret locations of mothballed SLDF WarShips, and the technological assistance necessary to restore them.[1]

In 3062 the Word of Blake WarShip Fleet officially consisted of two WarShips, although four ships were known to be undergoing refits.[2]
