Case BLACK was a plan by the Taurian Defense Force intended to decapitate the Star League invasion force.[1]

History[edit]

In a two-pronged strategy to stop the Star League Defense Force, the remnants of the Taurian navy engaged the SLDF Third Fleet under Admiral Kristopher Minn. Drawing the fleet as far as Cohagen, Taurian commandos then infiltrated League-occupied space and assassinated General Amalthia Kincaid on the planet Firgrove on 3 June 2583 during a review of the Fifty-sixth Ariana Lancers.

With the SLDF command structure decapitated, and fearful of the new "miracle weapon" used by the Taurian commandos, the invasion foundered for more than a year before recommencing.[2]
