System Description
Aea occupied a position in the Periphery close to the Star League era colonies of Girondas and Qalzi and the more modern colony of Regis Roost.[2][3]
System History
The Aea system was either settled around the time of the Fourth Succession War or became significant enough for Inner Sphere nations to note it on maps.[5][6][7][8][9][10] Aea had been incorporated into the Taurian Concordat by the end of the War of 3039.[9][10] The Aea system had been removed from maps by 3085, indicating that the system had either been depopulated or was no longer significant enough to be recorded on maps.[11]

Planetary History
These data was introduced in a apocryphal source, and thus far has not appeared in any canonical media.
Aea is a tropical world with a small population mostly dedicated to maintaining the planets HPG facility. A dense foul smelling atmosphere makes postings to the world an unpleasant experience.[40]
Between 3067 and 3071 Aea was raided by the mercenary-turned-pirate unit Dedrickson's Devils. The Devils destroyed the planetary HPG as well as the main water purification plants during their raid, but worse still, brought with them the deadly Brinton Plague from Brinton, which they had raided shortly before. With the Plague spreading on Aea the MRBC posted a kill-on-sight order against the Devils, adding them to the Most Wanted list of rogue units and offering a bounty of 100,000 C-bills on the head of each member of the unit.[1]
Notes
- In the BattleTech computer game released in May 2018 by Harebrained Schemes Aea is one of the member worlds of the Aurigan Coalition faction,[40] despite Aea not appearing on maps prior to the Fourth Succession War in canon.
