Magistracy Intelligence Ministry operative Geoff Hawk, violently ill after massive surgery that exchanged both his arms for bionic limbs with hidden features, modified his nervous system and provided him with full subdermal armor, muses why he was invited to join the Ebon Magistrate in the first place, and why he accepted.
