Satinka was a Dark Caste key leader who had previously been a former Elemental Warrior Caste washout.

Personal History

Warrior Caste

The individual who would later become known as Satinka was a trueborn Elemental phenotype that was born into the Warrior Caste of Clan Wolf, in the same sibko as Garmen Kerensky. Both were of the same lineage, of Andery Kerensky.

Satinka failed in her Trial of Position, due to the unlikely circumstance of missing with every single missile shot, her battle armor communication malfunctioning, and her battle armor motive system freezing. Satinka was dismissed from the Warrior Caste for this poor performance, since she could not prove that her equipment had been sabotaged.[1]

Merchant Caste and Dark Caste

After being dismissed from the Warrior Caste, Satinka tested down to the Clan Wolf Merchant Caste. A merchant named Jarlath became her mentor, but after Jarlath was murdered by another merchant, the enraged Satinka killed her mentor's murderer and the murderer's bodyguards. Consequently, Satinka was forced to flee to the Dark Caste with the assistance of another merchant named Zorian.

Zorian was the Guildmaster of the Red Willows Free Guild but also was the Zimniy Korol -the Winter King-, leader of the Snezhnyye Siroty -the Winter Orphans-, one of the most powerful Dark Caste organizations.[2]

Satinka became Zorian's protege, with Zorian teaching Satinka everything about the legal and illegal sides of the guild. After Zorian died, Satinka replaced Zorian, adopting Zorian's dual life as the new Guildmaster in the Merchant Caste and adopting the title of Zimnyaya Ledy, the Winter Lady in the Dark Caste.[3]

Satinka's role in Operation SPATHA II

In 3071, Satinka heard about a new weapons dealer on Katyusha City, a male Elemental, and she organized a meeting to buy him, the 10 July, through Balbas, her second-in-command. Maybe she suspected who he was, but seeing him face-to-face, recognized him as Garmen. After unmasking herself, both agreed to make business together.[4]

Satinka's people continued making business with Garmen's for months, and slowly their relationship grew, first with she sharing why she failed in her Trial of Position, from which she suspected another sibkin, Laya. Garmen tell her how Laya had died crushed by a Hell's Horses 'Mech, and Satinka found it appropiate. Soon after, she and garmen became lovers. He didn't shared why he was there, but she guessed it alone, and offered him her people's aid to gather intelligence, and he agreed.[5]

Satinka's assistance proved unvaluable to Garmen's team, which were to execute Operation SPATHA, part of Operation DAMOCLES II, a Clan Wolf series of attacks to claim all Bloodhouse Kerensky legacies in the Clan Homeworlds. Garmen's team was to board the WarShip McKenna's Pride and stole General Aleksandr Kerensky's coffin, and Satinka's people assisted them to buy a DropShip, the Botany Bay (DropShip).[6]

When the Wolves attacked, they turned all Katuysha City a battlefield, and Garmen returned with Satinka two weeks later: they've lost the Botany Bay and five men. Satinka had lost dozens of men and most of their guild's revenue... but have survived. Both groups needed the other's assistance, so a formal alliance was made, and Garmen's team became the Winter Lady's group enforcers and trainers.[7]

Four years later, in 3075, Satinka's people controled about 80 percent of all illegal activities on Katyusha City, thanks to the chaos of the Wars of Reaving, which were still raging, and to the assistance of Garmen's people. SPATHA's survivors trained the Winter Lady's enforcers, and only fought in the most important actions, wghile they were preparing SPATHA II.[8] Toward the end of the year, Satinka suggested to create a suicide unit to attack the Space Control Center of Katyusha City. She assisted Garmen to recruit Stas, an old Wolf MechWarrior which hold deep grudges against the Grand Council. He agreed, and recruited first three other former wolves, and later a full Trinary, which will became the Retribution Wraiths.[9]

While SPATHA II was being prepared, Satinka's acquisitions, which were meant not only for SPATHA, but also to migrate part of her people, including her, to the Inner Sphere, attracted the attention of the Ebon Keshik analist Kyne, which correctly identified Garmen and Satinka as the key enforcer of the Winter Lady and the Lady herself, respectively.[10]

The 30 August, the Katyusha Keshik forces assaulted the hotel were Satinka and Garmen were sleeping, but thanks to a inside sopurce warning, they were prepared and managed to escape shooting their way out.[11]

After that, Satinka's people vanished, and her official existance as a Guild leader ceased, but the Katyusha Keshik forces were unable to seize more than a little part of her resources.[12]

The 5 April 3076, Spatha II was finally launched: Garmen and Satinka's people which will leave the Clan Homeworlds attacked together, taking the McKenna's Honor DropShip and later boarding the Pride. But when Garmen's people attempted to recover the Great fathers coffin, they found problems, and he decided to take the Warship with them. As she has more JumpShip experience, Garmen gave the command's position to Satinka.[13]

She did a good work, and after a long persecution, they managed to escape the system and join with Satinka's people's fleet.[14]

During the way through the Exodus Road, she became pregnant and had a children of Garmen, a boy which they named Andery, in honor of their common ancestor. Before Garmen's joined with Wolf forces, Satinka and her people separated from them.[15] However, despite Satinka's departure, the Winter Lady stayed alive: Balbas, which succeeded her, keep the mythical leader active using four body doubles, succeeding her, but keeping himself in the shadows.[16]

Dark Age Era

Satinka apparently vanished after separating her fleet with the Pride, but, after the end of the Word of Blake Jihad, Garmen, which had became a Republic of the Sphere soldier, married a merchant named Brenda Winter, having a son with her, which they named Andery Winter. Both the same name for their son and Brenda's family name, almost identical to her Dark Caste title, clearly point than Brenda was the identity taken by Satinka.[17]

Physical description

Satinka was described as tall, but lean and trim, instead of bulky, with a beautiful face with sparkling blue eyes.[18]
