Overview
Majesty Metals and Manufacturing is the oldest military-grade manufacturing center in the Magistracy of Canopus, having been formed in 2550. The company took advantage of Canopus's rich ore reserves on the planet and became a civilian vehicle producer. Twenty years after its primary facilities opened, the company expanded to Dunianshire. Just before the Reunification War started, the factories also began to produce combat vehicles and BattleMechs. Neither facility was damage from the conflict.[1]
During the Amaris Crisis, General Kerensky used Majesty to rearm & re-equip his troops, even going so far as to expand their facilities, including adding DropShip production on Dunianshire. Using these factories allowed him to supply his forces with enough equipment to fight the Rim Worlds Republic.[1]
The Succession Wars were not kind to most of Magistracy's industries, however, unlike to other in the Magistracy, Majesty Metals survived the conflict.[1] However, depletion of its ores has limited its production rate during this time.[citation needed]
During the Succession Wars, Majesty two complexes were the sole domestic providers of heavy arms to the Magistracy Armed Forces. Since the creation of Detroit Consolidated MechWorks, however, new design work has been shuffled away from Majesty.[1]
In the 3060s, investors from the Capellan Confederation's Liao Commonality enabled Majesty to add more production lines, though the raw materials on Canopus were no longer enough.[1]
After the Jihad erupted, the company managed to obtain plans for the Koschei BattleMech. With aid from Earthwerks Incorporated of Tikonov, they were able begin limited production for the Mech in 3068 at their Dunianshire plant.[2] During the Word of Blake's occupation of Canopus, the Blakists took control of the production lines there and used them rebuild their forces. The Blakist occupiers upgraded the manufacturing lines there, producing using the latest technology. After the Word withdrew from Canopus, the factories' ability to produce their designs was dependent on the importation of high-tech equipment that the Magistracy could not reproduce.[1]
Corporate Officers
The CEO of Majesty Metals since 3025 has been Gavin Priest-McDonogh.[citation needed]
